Layered Data

This recent body of work explores the Colorado landscape, made during my residency at Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass, CO.

Information as form; material as concept; I create recontextualized landscapes to engage a conversation about land-use and our changing understanding of nature. I use geology as a lens of exploration and introspection, unravelling the Colorado landscape and considering it multidimensionally: as a surface, and from the inside out. I want to remove the distance between raw materials and their consumption, thus questioning the very nature of resource demand and use.
